Apple iPad 2 Review

Apple iPad 2 is a nice iOS tablet launched in March 2011, counting with a great performance 1 gigahertz Dual-Core CPU, a 9.7-inches multi touch capacitive display, and two cameras, a 0.7 MP back camera and a 0.3 megapixels front camera. But let's get into some more details.

Apple decided to build this tablet using a powerful Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1000 megahertz, bundled in an Apple A5 chip and 512 MB RAM memory. Graphic rendering generally eats lots of processing time, so this tablet uses an extra PowerVR SGX543 MP2 graphic processing unit clocking at 200 megahertz to improve overall performance. The iPad 2 has a impressive 32 GB internal memory and whereas it doesn't count with an SD extension slot, it is still enough to install tons of apps, games, pictures and videos without having to worry about how much storage capacity is left.

Apple made this tabletavailable just in two different colors, black and white. This tablet is a bit heavy for a portable tablet this size, with a weight of 21.2 ounces. Being just 0.34" thick,the iPad 2 is slim and comfortable. This tablet is quite a compact tablet, taking into account that it features a 9.7" display and it's only 9.5" long and 7.31" wide.

This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This tablet features two cameras, a 0.7 MP back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. It also captures HD 1280x720 videos at 30 fps.

This device offers Wi-Fi connectivity (although it can't share it with other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot). The iPad 2 doesn't use a sim card, because it isn't a GSM enabled tablet.

This tablet has a 6944 mAh large Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery, enough to provide this tablet with an incredibly long battery life. An issue to evaluate is that the iPad 2's battery is non-replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to last shorter, even though with this big battery you will probably replace this device before it becomes a real problem.

This device also comes with Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The iPad 2 is priced 285 dollars, which is a really high price for comparing with other similar tablets. It doesn't matter whether you want it to play lots of games, need it for work or want it mostly for social networks, you will definitely love this tablet device.
