Apple iPad 2 is a nice tablet device launched in 2011, featuring a great performance 1 GHz Dual-Core CPU, an enormous 9.7" multi touch screen, and 2 cameras, a 0.7 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera.
Apple made this tabletavailable just in two different color options, black and white. Apple didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 21.41 oz portable tablet. The Apple iPad 2 is a very compact device, considering it has a 9.7" screen and it's only 9.5 inches long and 7.31 inches wide. This tablet has a gorgeous design, with a thickness of just 0.34".
This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
Apple ships this tablet with a great performance Dual-Core processor speeding at 1 GHz, bundled in an Apple A5 chip with 512 MB of RAM memory. Graphic intensive applications generally uses lots of processing power, so it also also has a 200 MHz PowerVR SGX543 MP2 GPU to help with that calculations. This tablet comes with a large 64 GB internal storage memory and whereas it doesn't count with an SD memory slot, it is still enough to install hundreds of applications without thinking about filling the device.
This tablet features two cameras, a 0.7 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera. The iPad 2 also films videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 frames per second.
This tablet includes wi-fi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G internet connection, supported by EV-DO A technologies. The iPad 2 doesn't use a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM services and it can connect to CDMA carriers.
The iPad 2 also includes a couple nice features as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth portable tablets, computers and accessories) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
This tablet packs a 6944 mAh big capacity Li-Polymer non-removable battery that provides this tablet a marvelous battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that the iPad 2's battery isn't removable so you can't change it when it starts to get older, whereas with such a huge battery size you will probably replace this tablet before it becomes an issue.
Apple sells the iPad 2 for 540 dollars, which is not cheap for comparing with other similar tablets. No matter if you need this tablet for work, want a portable tablet to mostly use social networks or want a gaming tablet, this tablet is probably the correct option .
