Apple iPad 2 Review

Apple iPad 2 is an interesting iOS tablet device launched back in 2011, provisioned with a huge 9.7 inches multi-touch screen, a good performance 1000 megahertz Dual-Core CPU, and 2 cameras, a 0.7 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

This tablet is offerred in 2 colors, black and white. It seems like Apple didn't care so much about the weight in this 21.62 oz tablet. This tablet is incredibly thin and practical, with a thickness of just 0.34 inches. While this tablet is only 9.5 inches long, it's still able to fit a a 9.7" display.

This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

Apple ships the Apple iPad 2 with a fast 1 GHz Dual-Core processor, bundled in an Apple A5 system chip and 512 MB of RAM. Handling graphic calculations, this device also uses a 200 MHz PowerVR SGX543 MP2 graphic processing unit. This tablet comes with a 16 GB quite large internal storage memory and whereas it doesn't count with an external memory card slot, it should be enough to install a couple hundred applications, although it probably wouldn't be suitable if you are planning to install some of the heaviest games available nowadays.

This tablet is equipped with two cameras, a 0.7 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. This tablet also shoots videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 30 fps.

The iPad 2 has a big 6944 mAh Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the iPad 2 with an extremely long battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that the iPad 2's battery isn't replaceable so you can't change it when it starts losing capacity, even though with such a big battery you will probably discard this tablet before that becomes an issue.

The iPad 2 offers wi-fi connectivity (although it can't provide it to other devices as a mobile mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G internet connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet uses a Micro SIM card for GSM carriers.

This tablet also features a couple of interesting features like Bluetooth (for communication with other tablet devices and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This tablet costs $ 279, which is not a really offer for this type of tablet. This tablet is the right choice for you no matter if you will use it as a social device, will use it for work or are looking for a tablet device for playing games.
