Apple iPad 2 Review

Apple iPad 2 is a high-end iOS tablet launched some years ago, in 2011, coming with a good performance Dual-Core processor ticking at 1000 megahertz, an enormous 9.7" screen, and 2 cameras, a 0.7 MP back side camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera.

The iPad 2 is incredibly thin and practical, being just 0.34" thick. This tablet is a compact tablet, considering it packs a 9.7 inches display and it is only 9.5 inches long and 7.31 inches wide. The iPad 2 is a bit heavy for a tablet this size, weighting 21.62 ounces. The iPad 2 is sold in 2 different color options, black and white.

Apple decided to sell this tablet with a Apple A5 chip, packing a great performance Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1 gigahertz and 512 MB of RAM memory. Graphic calculations usually consume a lot of processing power, so it also counts with a 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX543 MP2 GPU to take some work out of the CPU. This tablet comes with a huge 64 GB internal storage and while it doesn't count with an SD memory slot, it is still enough to store hundreds of apps without having to worry about filling it.

Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The Apple iPad 2 offers wi-fi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a hotspot) and 3G fast internet connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The iPad 2 works with a Micro SIM card for GSM services.

The Apple iPad 2 is equipped with two cameras, a 0.7 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. It is capable of shooting 1280x720 HD videos at 30 fps.

This tablet features a 6944 mAh huge Li-Polymer non-removable battery, enough to provide this tablet with an extremely long battery life. An issue to evaluate is that the Apple iPad 2's battery is not replaceable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to lose its charge, although with its 6944 mAh you will probably discard this tablet before that becomes a real problem.

This tablet also comes with a couple nice features like Bluetooth and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The iPad 2 is not very cheap considering it is offerred for 505 dollars, and many similar portable tablets are a lot cheaper than that. If you will use this tablet to play games, are looking for a tablet device for work, want a social tablet device or want this tablet to take many photos, this tablet is a very good choice .
