Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has an overall score of 67, which is way better than Toshiba Excite 7.7's 54.2 overall score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active construction is much newer than Toshiba Excite 7.7's, but it's just a little heavier and notably thicker. Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has newer 4.4 version and Toshiba Excite 7.7 has Android 4.0 version, providing you a couple nice extra features.
The Galaxy Tab Active's processing unit is just as good as the Toshiba Excite 7.7 one, and although the Galaxy Tab Active has a greater amount of RAM and an extra graphics processing unit, they both have 4 processing cores. Galaxy Tab Active and Toshiba Excite 7.7 have similar screens, because although the Galaxy Tab Active has a bit lower amount of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a little larger display and a slightly higher 1280 x 800 pixels resolution.
The Galaxy Tab Active has a slightly bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Toshiba Excite 7.7, although it has 0 less internal memory. The Galaxy Tab Active shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Toshiba Excite 7.7, although it has a worse 1280x720 video definition and a back-facing camera with way less megapixels.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a superior battery duration than Toshiba Excite 7.7.
Galaxy Tab Active is a bit more expensive than Toshiba Excite 7.7, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
