Comparison review
The Acer Predator 8 is a bit better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, getting a score of 57.7 against 57.6. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but Acer Predator 8 has older 5.1 Lollipop version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Despite being the best device we are comparing here, the Acer Predator 8 is an older, just a bit thicker and a bit heavier device than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a little sharper screen than Acer Predator 8. Both have exactly the same resolution of 1200 x 1920px, the same amount of pixels per screen inch and a display of the same size. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a bit better performance than Acer Predator 8, because it has a higher number of cores and more RAM.
The Acer Predator 8 has a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 128 GB, the Acer Predator 8 also has 32 GB internal memory capacity. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a bit superior battery performance than Acer Predator 8, because it has a 5100mAh battery capacity instead of 4420mAh.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a much better camera than Acer Predator 8, because it has a back-facing camera with a way better 8 mega-pixels resolution.
Although Acer Predator 8 is a better device, it costs more than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
