Comparison review
The Alcatel JOY TAB has a global score of 59.4, which is slightly better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's 57.6 overall score. The Alcatel JOY TAB construction is extremely newer and lighter than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's, although it is a little thicker. These devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Alcatel JOY TAB has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, giving you a couple nice extra features.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a bit better processor than Alcatel JOY TAB, because it has a higher number of cores and more RAM. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a better display than Alcatel JOY TAB, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a much higher 1200 x 1920 resolution and more pixels per display inch.
The Alcatel JOY TAB features a lot bigger memory to install applications and games than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and although they both have a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the Alcatel JOY TAB also has 32 GB internal memory capacity. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with longer battery life than Alcatel JOY TAB, because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity instead of 4080mAh.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a very superior camera than Alcatel JOY TAB, because it has a way higher (Full HD) video resolution and a back facing camera with a much better 8 mega-pixels resolution.
