The Microsoft Surface 3 has an overall score of 66.3, which is much better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's 57.6 score. Despite being the best in this comparison review, we must note that it is also older, a lot heavier and just a little thicker. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has just a bit better processing power than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has 1 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with a larger number of cores.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a little more vivid display than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a bit lower 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a greater display pixels density. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a greater camera than Microsoft Surface 3. Both have the same video quality, the same video frame rate and the same resolution back camera.
The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a way better battery life than Microsoft Surface 3.
Microsoft Surface 3 is a lot more expensive than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
