Samsung ATIV Tab 7 is much better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, having a score of 64.9 against 57.6. Despite being the best in this review, the Samsung ATIV Tab 7 construction is extremely older, heavier and thicker than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. The Samsung ATIV Tab 7 counts with Windows 8 operating system, while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a little sharper screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 7, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1200 x 1920px and a greater pixels quantity per screen inch. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a much better processing power than Samsung ATIV Tab 7, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor and lesser RAM, it also counts with a higher number of cores.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a way better camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 7, because it has a camera in the back with a much higher 8 mega-pixels resolution. Samsung ATIV Tab 7 features a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung ATIV Tab 7.
