The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a global score of 60.7, which is just a bit better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's 57.6 overall score. Even being the best device in this review, we must note that it is also a noticeably older, just a bit heavier and way thicker device. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the previous 4.1 version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has more processing cores and 2 GB more RAM. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a little larger display, a lot more pixels per display inch and a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a bit more storage to install games and applications than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has a SD extension slot that admits up to 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features greater battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 28% more battery size.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD captures way better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a lot more MP camera and a way better video definition.
Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) not only is the best devices between the ones we are comparing, but it's also by far the cheapest.
