Comparison review
Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a general score of 60.5, which is slightly better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's 57.6 general score. Despite of the fact Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is older and notably heavier than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, it's design is still just a little thinner. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has newer 7.1 Nougat version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a much better screen than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a lot more pixels per inch of screen. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a larger amount of RAM and more CPU cores.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7's memory capacity to install games and applications is just as good as the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD one, both have an external memory card slot that supports up to 128 GB and exactly the same 16 GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a little longer battery lifetime than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because it has an 18% larger battery capacity.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a lot better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a much higher (Full HD) video resolution and a way higher 8 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
Even being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is also a bargain compared to others.
