The Galaxy Tab Active is better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, with a 67 score against 57.6. Although it's the best in our current comparison, the Galaxy Tab Active is an extremely older, somewhat thicker and heavier tablet than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. These tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab Active has the previous 4.4 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with 1,5 GB more RAM memory and a larger number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a bit sharper display than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, although it has a lot lower quantity of pixels in each inch in the screen and a lot lower 1280 x 800 resolution, they both have a display of the same size.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a little bit better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 128 GB. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD shoots much better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a much more megapixels camera and a lot higher (Full HD) video quality.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab Active is way more expensive than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
