The Galaxy Tab Active Pro has a global score of 77.5, which is a lot better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's overall score of 57.6. Galaxy Tab Active Pro's body is newer, but a lot thicker and a lot heavier than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab Active Pro has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so it counts with some extra features.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1200 x 1920px resolution, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also counts with a higher number of pixels per screen inch. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD and Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro count with quite similar cameras, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro also has a way higher 3840x2160 video resolution and a way higher resolution back facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro features a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.

Galaxy Tab Active Pro is a lot more expensive than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
