Comparison review
Amazon Fire HD 8 has a score of 53.3, which is a bit better than ZTE Optik's 51.2 general score. Both tablets we compare here come with Android operating system, but Amazon Fire HD 8 has the newer 5.0 version while ZTE Optik has Android 3.2, so it gives you some extra features. The Amazon Fire HD 8 is a noticeably newer portable tablet, and it's also noticeably lighter and way thinner than ZTE Optik.
ZTE Optik has a bit sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the ZTE Optik also counts with a little more pixels per screen inch. The ZTE Optik has a little better performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the ZTE Optik also has a graphics co-processor and a higher number of cores (but slower).
ZTE Optik takes much clearer photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8. Both of them have a same resolution camera in the back. Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with a quite bigger memory to store more apps and games than ZTE Optik, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage, the Amazon Fire HD 8 also has a SD card slot that allows up to 128 GB.
ZTE Optik features a much longer battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 costs a bit more than ZTE Optik, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
