ARCHOS 80 Helium 4G is a decent quality tablet released many years ago, provisioned with a high speed 1.2 gigahertz Quad-Core processor, a good size 8 inches multi touch capacitive screen, a 2 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera.
This device is very thin and looks really nice, while it's not close to being one of the thinnest tablets you can find, with a thickness of 0.44 inches. This tablet is a very compact tablet device, given that it has a 8" display and it is just 8.39 inches long and 6.1" wide.
Archos decided to sell this tablet device with a Qualcomm MSM8926 chip, packing a high-tech 1.2 GHz Quad-Core CPU with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit low for a tablet this good. Graphic rendering generally uses lots of processing power, so the ARCHOS 80 Helium 4G uses an additional Adreno 305 GPU speeding at 450 MHz to take some work out of the processor. The ARCHOS 80 Helium 4G comes with a 4 GB internal memory, a passable quantity that should be fine for the majority of users knowing that the ARCHOS 80 Helium 4G also has an external memory slot to store songs, pictures and videos and even some apps and games that allow being installed in the external memory.
The ARCHOS 80 Helium 4G features two cameras, a 2 MP back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera.
The ARCHOS 80 Helium 4G has a interesting 768 x 1024 8 inches screen, giving this tablet a nice graphic quality. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
