The iPhone 12 Pro Max is much better than LG V50 ThinQ, getting a general score of 93.2 against 83.7. Even though iPhone 12 Pro Max is heavier than the LG V50 ThinQ, it's thinner and also newer. IPhone 12 Pro Max works with iOS 15.x OS, while LG V50 ThinQ comes with Android 10 OS. Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max counts with a bit better display than LG V50 ThinQ, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1284 x 2778px and a just a bit worse display pixels density, it also counts with a quite bigger display.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max features a better processor than LG V50 ThinQ, because although it has less cores (although they are faster), and they both have a 6 GB RAM memory, the iPhone 12 Pro Max also counts with a 64-bits CPU. The LG V50 ThinQ features a bit better camera than iPhone 12 Pro Max, and although they both have a same resolution back-facing camera, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rates, the LG V50 ThinQ also has a bigger camera aperture.
The LG V50 ThinQ counts with a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than iPhone 12 Pro Max, and although they both have the same internal memory, the LG V50 ThinQ also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB. LG V50 ThinQ has a little better battery lifetime than iPhone 12 Pro Max, because it has an 8% bigger battery capacity.
Although iPhone 12 Pro Max is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the LG V50 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG V50 ThinQ. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the iPhone 12 Pro Max, otherwise you can save some money and get the LG V50 ThinQ, giving up a couple features and specs.
