IPhone 12 Pro Max is better than the Galaxy S6 edge+, having a global score of 93.2 against 79.3. The iPhone 12 Pro Max works with iOS 15.x OS, while Galaxy S6 edge+ comes with Android 5.1 OS. IPhone 12 Pro Max's construction is much newer, but just a little thicker and way heavier than the Galaxy S6 edge+.

The Galaxy S6 edge+ and iPhone 12 Pro Max both count with extremely similar displays, because although the Galaxy S6 edge+ has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better 2560 x 1440 resolution and a bit greater display pixel density.
IPhone 12 Pro Max has a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has more internal storage capacity. Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max has improved battery life than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has 3687mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh. The iPhone 12 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ have similar cameras, because although the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing images and video in low light situations and worse 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, it also counts with a back facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max costs a lot more money than the Galaxy S6 edge+, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
