The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a general score of 93.2, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy A71 5G's overall score of 91.8. The iPhone 13 Pro Max works with iOS 15.x OS, while Samsung Galaxy A71 5G has Android 11 OS. The iPhone 13 Pro Max construction is newer and a bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G's, although it is heavier.

Galaxy A71 5G has a lot better camera than Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, because although it has slower video frame rate and a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low light captures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Galaxy A71 5G also counts with a much higher 64 MP resolution back-facing camera.
Although Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy A71 5G, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy A71 5G. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, else you can save some money and buy the Galaxy A71 5G, resigning some specifications.
