IPhone 8 has a score of 85, which is much better than Apple iPhone 5's score of 71.7. The iPhone 8 design is noticeably newer and just a little thinner than the Apple iPhone 5's, although it is notably heavier. IPhone 5 features a little sharper display than iPhone 8, although it has a little smaller display, a bit lower 1136 x 640px resolution and much lower brightness, they both have a higher pixels amount in each inch of screen.
IPhone 8 counts with a much greater processing power than iPhone 5, because it has a 64-bit CPU, 4 more processing cores and more RAM. The Apple iPhone 8 takes much better photos and videos than iPhone 5, because it has a bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting higher quality photos and videos, a way better video quality, a camera with a way better resolution and a lot larger camera aperture to take better low-light captures and video.
The Apple iPhone 8 counts with a lot bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than iPhone 5, because it has 256 GB internal storage. The iPhone 8 features superior battery performance than iPhone 5, because it has a 1821mAh battery size.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than iPhone 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the iPhone 5. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy iPhone 8, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the iPhone 5, letting go a couple features and specs.
