HTC U11 is a bit better than the iPhone 5s, having a general score of 77.6 against 75.5. The HTC U11 construction is notably newer than iPhone 5s's, but it's just a bit thicker and extremely heavier. HTC U11 has a little faster CPU than iPhone 5s, because although it has a 32-bit processing unit against 64-bits and doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a higher number of cores and 3 GB more RAM memory.
Apple iPhone 5s has a slightly better looking display than HTC U11, although it has a way worse pixels density, a lot smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 1136 x 640. The HTC U11 takes much clearer photos and videos than iPhone 5s, because it has a much bigger aperture to capture better photos and video in low light environments, a camera with a way better resolution, a bigger sensor capturing better quality photographs and videos and a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution.
The HTC U11 counts with a superior memory for games and applications than iPhone 5s, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity, the HTC U11 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 128 GB. HTC U11 counts with a really longer battery duration than Apple iPhone 5s, because it has a 91 percent greater battery capacity.
HTC U11 costs a little more than Apple iPhone 5s, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
