Apple iPhone 5s Review

Apple iPhone 5s is an amazing iOS cellphone released in 2013, which features a very powerful 64 bits Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1300 megahertz, a 4 inches touch-screen, an 8 MP back camera and a 1.2 megapixels front facing camera. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's only the introduction of a detailed review.

This phone is just 0.3" thick, making it one of the thinnest phones nowadays. Apple made this phoneavailable only in 3 color options: black, gray and gold. Regarding its materials, the Apple iPhone 5s is mainly built with Aluminium, giving it a premium finish and improved resistance. Apple didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 3.95 ounces phone.

This cellphone includes an astonishing 1136 x 640 4 inches screen, which makes all images and videos look completely perfect. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, with a brightness of 500 cd/m2 and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This phone comes with a Apple A7 chip, which holds an extremely powerful Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1300 MHz with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit poor for such a powerful phone. Graphic rendering usually eats a lot of processor time, so it has an additional PowerVR G6430 graphic processing unit working at 600 MHz to improve overall performance. The iPhone 5s comes with a 64 GB large internal storage and even though it doesn't count with an external memory slot, it is still enough to install tons of applications, games, pictures and videos without even thinking about filling the cellphone.

This cellphone features WiFi connectivity (which can be provided to other devices around, acting as a router), 4G (LTE) fast internet connection and also HSPA+ data connection, that is a lower speed 4G technology and fast 3G data connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The iPhone 5s works with a Nano SIM card for GSM networks and it can connect using both CDMA and GSM.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 1.2 MP front camera. this phone's back camera lens has a F2.2 aperture so it can shoot awesome photographs even in low-light situations. The iPhone 5s can also film videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps, and slow motion videos in (HD) (1280x720) up to 120 fps. To complete the camera, it also features a lot of useful characteristics like flash, fast burst mode, auto-focus, digital image stabilization, face detection shooting, time lapse video, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This cellphone also features a few interesting characteristics like Bluetooth (enables communication with other phones, computers and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This phone uses a 1570 mAh medium capacity Li-Ion non-removable battery that provides this cellphone a below average battery durationcompared to other cellphones. According to Apple, the iPhone 5s has an aproximate 10 hours talk time and a 250 hours stand by time. An important issue to take into consideration is that the Apple iPhone 5s's battery is not removable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to lose its charge, leaving no choice but to buy a new device or hopefully take it to an expert who can open it and change the battery.

The Apple iPhone 5s is being sold for about $ 265, not very cheap for comparing with similar cellphones.
