Apple iPhone XS has a global score of 84.2, which is better than iPhone 5s's general score of 75.5. Apple iPhone XS's design has the same thickness than iPhone 5s, but it's heavier. Apple iPhone XS features a screen that is just as good as the screen in iPhone 5s, although the Apple iPhone XS also has a lot higher resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels, a little bit more brightness, a way larger screen and a higher pixels density.
IPhone XS counts with a better CPU than iPhone 5s, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have a 64 bits processing unit, the iPhone XS also counts with 3 GB more RAM memory and a larger number of cores. The iPhone 5s and the iPhone XS both count with extremely similar storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, both of them have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory.
The iPhone XS has a really longer battery duration than iPhone 5s, because it has a 69% greater battery size. Apple iPhone XS shoots better photographs and videos than iPhone 5s, because it has a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking better quality pictures, a lot higher (4K) video definition, a back camera with a lot better resolution and a larger aperture for better photography and video in poorly lited environments.
Although Apple iPhone XS is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than iPhone 5s, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the iPhone 5s. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Apple iPhone XS, else you can save some dollars and get the iPhone 5s, resigning a couple specs and features.
