Huawei Mate 8 has a global score of 77.4, which is just a bit better than iPhone 5s's global score of 75.5. Huawei Mate 8 is a newer phone than the iPhone 5s, although it is way heavier and just a bit thicker. The iPhone 5s counts with a better display than Huawei Mate 8, although it has a lot smaller screen, a quite worse display density and a way worse 1136 x 640 pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 8 and iPhone 5s count with similar processors, because although the Huawei Mate 8 has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit and a 32-bit processing unit against 64-bits, it also counts with more CPU cores and more RAM. The Huawei Mate 8 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than iPhone 5s, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a bigger diafragm aperture, a much more mega pixels back facing camera and better video frame rates.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a much greater storage for applications and games than Apple iPhone 5s, because it has 64 GB more internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 128 GB. The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than iPhone 5s, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 1570mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the iPhone 5s, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as iPhone 5s. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 8, but if you don't you can save some money and get the iPhone 5s, letting go some features and specs.
