The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a global score of 76.6, which is just a bit better than the iPhone 5s's global score of 75.5. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with Android 10 OS, while iPhone 5s counts with iOS 8.x OS. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a way newer cellphone than iPhone 5s, although it's thicker and much heavier.
The Apple iPhone 5s has a better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, although it has a little bit inferior pixel number per inch in the screen, a really smaller screen and a much lower resolution of 1136 x 640. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a superior storage to store more games and applications than Apple iPhone 5s, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 128 GB.
Apple iPhone 5s counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has an inferior number of cores and they are also slower and lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics co-processor and a 64 bits processing unit. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a much better battery lifetime than iPhone 5s, because it has a 220% greater battery size.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a much better camera than iPhone 5s, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a bigger camera aperture to take better captures in poorly lited environments, a lot more mega pixels camera and a way bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot higher quality photographs and videos.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a better device, it costs more money than iPhone 5s, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPhone 5s. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy iPhone 5s, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
