Comparison review
Apple iPhone 8 Plus is much better than Xperia XZ2, getting an 87.1 score against 79.1. Although the Apple iPhone 8 Plus and Xperia XZ2 were released only a couple of months apart, the Apple iPhone 8 Plus design is noticeably thinner but also just a little heavier than Xperia XZ2. The Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with a little sharper display than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a little bigger display, a quite brighter display, a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2160px and a little bit greater pixels density.
IPhone 8 Plus has a greater storage to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory capacity. IPhone 8 Plus has a bit more powerful processor than Sony Xperia XZ2, because although it has a lower number of cores and they are also slower and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a 64-bits CPU.
Xperia XZ2 has greater battery life than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has an 18 percent bigger battery size. Xperia XZ2 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for taking photographs and videos in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 60 fps video frame rate, the Xperia XZ2 also counts with a much better resolution camera in the back and a much larger back-facing camera sensor providing a much better image quality.
