Comparison review
The iPhone 8 is a bit better than the Huawei P30, getting an 85 score against 81.7. IPhone 8 is an older device than the Huawei P30, but Apple could make it a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter anyway. IPhone 8 features a little faster processor than Huawei P30, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and lesser and slower CPU cores, it also counts with a 64 bits CPU.
The Apple iPhone 8 and the Huawei P30 have similar screens, although the Huawei P30 also has a much better resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a bigger display and a higher pixels density. The Huawei P30 takes much better photos and videos than iPhone 8, because although it has slower 30 frames per second video frame rate, and they both have the same aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei P30 also counts with a much larger back-facing camera sensor and a camera with lot more mega pixels.
IPhone 8 counts with a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P30, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei P30 counts with a much better battery performance than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a 3650mAh battery capacity.
Although Apple iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P30, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P30. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Huawei P30, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
