The Apple iPhone XS Max is a bit better than the iPhone XR, with an 84.5 score against 82. The Apple iPhone XS Max design is a little bit heavier but just a little thinner than iPhone XR, and they were released only 1 months apart. Apple iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR feature quite similar CPUs, and although the iPhone XR has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have a 64 bits processing unit and the same number of cores.
The iPhone XS Max has a bit better looking screen than Apple iPhone XR, and although they both have the same display brightness, the iPhone XS Max also has a bit larger display, a better pixel density and a much higher resolution of 1242 x 2688 pixels. IPhone XR features as much storage capacity to store more apps and games as iPhone XS Max, both have the same internal storage capacity.
The iPhone XS Max and the Apple iPhone XR count with really similar cameras, both of them have a same resolution camera in the back, a 0.39 inches sensor, the same (4K) video definition, the same 60 frames per second video frame rates and a F1.8 aperture. IPhone XS Max has just a little better battery lifetime than iPhone XR, because it has a 3179mAh battery capacity.
Although Apple iPhone XS Max is a better device, it costs a lot more money than iPhone XR, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPhone XR. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the iPhone XR, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
