The iPhone XS Max has a score of 84.5, which is a little bit better than HTC One M9's 77.7 general score. IPhone XS Max's design is notably newer and notably thinner, but much heavier than HTC One M9. The iPhone XS Max has a bit more powerful CPU than HTC One M9, because although it has 2 lesser cpu cores and doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, and they both have a 64-bits processing unit, the iPhone XS Max also counts with 1 GB more RAM.

The HTC One M9 has a slightly better screen than iPhone XS Max, although it has a really smaller screen, a little lower pixel density and a lot worse 1920 x 1080px resolution. The HTC One M9 features a camera that's just as good as the camera in Apple iPhone XS Max, because although the HTC One M9 has slower video frame rates and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for taking images or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a larger back camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and photographs and a back camera with way more mega pixels.

The HTC One M9 features a little bit better memory capacity for games and applications than iPhone XS Max, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that allows up to 128 GB. IPhone XS Max features a little better battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 3179mAh battery size.

Although iPhone XS Max is a better device, it is way more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy HTC One M9, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
