IPhone XS Max has an overall score of 84.5, which is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 20 Pro's 82.9 global score. Although the iPhone XS Max and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro were released with only 1 months difference, the iPhone XS Max construction is just a little heavier but also thinner. The iPhone XS Max counts with a little more vivid display than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has a bit worse 1242 x 2688 pixels resolution and a just a bit lower display pixels density, it also counts with a little bit bigger screen.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Apple iPhone XS Max, because it has 64 GB more internal storage. IPhone XS Max has just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has an inferior number of cores and less RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bit processor.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features longer battery duration than Apple iPhone XS Max, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity instead of 3179mAh. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro shoots much clearer pictures and videos than iPhone XS Max, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and a same size aperture, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor shooting way higher quality photos and videos and a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Although Apple iPhone XS Max is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei Mate 20 Pro. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
