IPhone XS Max is better than the Galaxy A6, having an 84.5 score against 75.8. IPhone XS Max's design has the same thickness than the Galaxy A6, but it's noticeably heavier. IPhone XS Max features a better performance than Galaxy A6, because although it has less CPU cores , it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and a higher amount of RAM memory.
IPhone XS Max has a way better display than Galaxy A6, because it has a much higher pixels number per inch of screen, a much higher resolution of 1242 x 2688px and a larger screen. Samsung Galaxy A6 counts with a much better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than iPhone XS Max, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports up to 400 GB.
The iPhone XS Max takes a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy A6, because although it has a smaller camera aperture and a back camera with a way lower 12 MP resolution, it also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 video resolution and a larger sensor. The iPhone XS Max counts with a little longer battery life than Galaxy A6, because it has 3179mAh of battery capacity.
Although iPhone XS Max is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy A6, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy A6. If you want to save some money, you can get Galaxy A6, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
