Apple iPhone XS Max has a general score of 84.5, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note 3's score of 81.2. Apple iPhone XS Max's body is incredibly newer and a bit thinner, but heavier than the Galaxy Note 3. IPhone XS Max counts with a quite superior hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a 64-bits CPU, a larger number of faster cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.

IPhone XS Max and Galaxy Note 3 count with very similar displays, although the Galaxy Note 3 has a much lower 1920 x 1080px resolution, a just a bit worse screen density and a little smaller display. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a lot bigger memory to store more apps and games than Apple iPhone XS Max, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also has a SD card slot that holds up to 64 GB.

The Apple iPhone XS Max takes a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back camera with a lower resolution, it also counts with a larger aperture for better low-light images and a bigger back camera sensor. Samsung Galaxy Note 3's battery life is just as good as the Apple iPhone XS Max one, although the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also has a 3200mAh battery capacity against 3179mAh.

Although Apple iPhone XS Max is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Note 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Note 3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Apple iPhone XS Max, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy Note 3, resigning a couple features and specifications.
