IPhone XS Max has a global score of 84.5, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note 4's general score of 81.6. IPhone XS Max's design is incredibly newer and just a bit thinner than the Galaxy Note 4's, although it's somewhat heavier. The Apple iPhone XS Max features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Note 4, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU, 2 more cores (although slower) and a higher amount of RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a bit better screen than Apple iPhone XS Max, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a bit greater pixels quantity in each inch of screen. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 counts with a bit bigger storage for games and applications than iPhone XS Max, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB.
The Galaxy Note 4's battery performance is just as good as the battery performance in Apple iPhone XS Max, although the Galaxy Note 4 also has 3220mAh of battery capacity. The iPhone XS Max has a bit better camera than Galaxy Note 4, because although it has a back-facing camera with lot less megapixels and a worse video resolution, it also counts with a larger camera aperture for better captures in poorly lited environments and a bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality.
Although Apple iPhone XS Max is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Apple iPhone XS Max, else you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, resigning some specs and features.
