Comparison review
The iPhone XS Max is just a bit better than Galaxy Note 5, with an 84.5 score against 79.3. IPhone XS Max's design has the same thickness than Galaxy Note 5, but it is heavier. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a bit sharper display than Apple iPhone XS Max, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of screen and a bit higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px.
IPhone XS Max features a much better performing processor than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the iPhone XS Max also has a 64 bits processor and a higher number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5's memory for games and applications is very similar to Apple iPhone XS Max's one, they have exactly the same internal storage capacity.
IPhone XS Max features just a bit better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has 3179mAh of battery capacity. The Apple iPhone XS Max captures clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a lot less megapixels camera in the back and a worse 3840x2160 video resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture for better low-light photography and video and a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Although Apple iPhone XS Max is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Apple iPhone XS Max, else you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, letting go some specs and features.
