Comparison review
The iPhone XS Max is a bit better than the Galaxy S4, with a overall score of 84.5 against 79. IPhone XS Max's construction is notably newer and a little bit thinner than Galaxy S4's, although it's a lot heavier. Samsung Galaxy S4 has a little sharper display than iPhone XS Max, although it has a lot smaller screen, a much lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little lower amount of pixels per display inch.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 features much more storage to install games and applications than iPhone XS Max, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy S4 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 64 GB. The iPhone XS Max features a more powerful processing unit than Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a 64-bits processor, more RAM and a higher number of cores (and they are faster).
Apple iPhone XS Max takes much better videos and photos than Galaxy S4, because although it has a back camera with a worse resolution, it also counts with a bigger camera sensor which offers a better photo and video quality, a lot better (4K) video resolution and a bigger aperture for better captures and videos in poorly lited environments.
The Apple iPhone XS Max counts with improved battery life than Galaxy S4, because it has a 22% greater battery size.
Although iPhone XS Max is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S4. So if you want that extra features, you can buy iPhone XS Max, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S4, letting go a couple specs and features.
