Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a global score of 84.7, which is a little bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8's general score of 79.5. Even though Asus ROG Phone 5 is better than Asus ROG Phone 8, we must note that it's also a noticeably older, just a bit heavier and thicker cellphone. Asus ROG Phone 5 features a way better performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a slightly better screen than Asus ROG Phone 5, because although it has a just a little worse pixel density and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, and they both have a display with the same size, the Asus ROG Phone 8 also counts with a lot brighter display.
Asus ROG Phone 8 has a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Asus ROG Phone 5, because it has more internal memory. The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a little bit better camera than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor capturing worse quality pictures and videos, and they both have the same video quality, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also counts with faster 30 frames per second video frame rate, a back facing camera with way more megapixels and a larger aperture to capture better captures and videos in poorly lited situations.
Asus ROG Phone 5 features a bit better battery performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, because it has a 9% more battery capacity.
