Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 5 is just a bit better than the Asus ZenFone 8, getting an 84.7 score against 83. Despite being the best in this comparison, the Asus ROG Phone 5 design is thicker and much heavier than Asus ZenFone 8. Asus ZenFone 8 and Asus ROG Phone 5 count with very similar processors, and although the Asus ZenFone 8 has 2 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Asus ZenFone 8 has a slightly better looking screen than Asus ROG Phone 5, because although it has a bit smaller screen, a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2400px and less bright screen, it also counts with a bit greater screen density. The Asus ZenFone 8 and Asus ROG Phone 5 have quite similar storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, both have equal internal storage capacity.
Asus ROG Phone 5 features a much better battery lifetime than Asus ZenFone 8, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh. The Asus ROG Phone 5 has just a bit better camera than Asus ZenFone 8, and although they both have the same aperture, the same video quality, a back camera with a 64 mega pixels resolution and a same size back camera sensor, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has better video frame rates.
