Comparison review
LG Velvet has an overall score of 87.1, which is a little bit better than Asus ROG Phone 5's 84.7 global score. Even though the LG Velvet is older than Asus ROG Phone 5, it's body is much lighter and notably thinner. The Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with just a little better performance than LG Velvet, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has 2 GB more RAM.
The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a sharper display than LG Velvet, although it has a just a bit less pixels per display inch and a bit lower 1080 x 2448 resolution, they both have a screen with the same size. The Asus ROG Phone 5 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than LG Velvet, and although they both have a same size camera aperture, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has a much better 7680x4320 video resolution, a back-facing camera with much more MP and a larger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality.
LG Velvet features much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Asus ROG Phone 5, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the LG Velvet also has an external SD slot that allows up to 1,95 TB. The Asus ROG Phone 5 features a much longer battery lifetime than LG Velvet, because it has a 6000mAh battery size instead of 4300mAh.
