The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a global score of 84.7, which is better than Galaxy J8's overall score of 76.7. Asus ROG Phone 5's body is extremely newer, but a lot heavier and incredibly thicker than the Galaxy J8. The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a way better display than Galaxy J8, because it has a lot higher 1080 x 2448px resolution, a bit bigger display and more pixels per inch of display.
The Galaxy J8 counts with a little bit more memory for games and applications than Asus ROG Phone 5, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a little better hardware performance than Galaxy J8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has more RAM.
Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy J8, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 5 takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light captures and video, it also counts with a much larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a way higher image and video quality, a much better 7680x4320 video definition and a lot more MP camera in the back.
