Asus ROG Phone 5 has an overall score of 84.7, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's global score of 81.9. Asus ROG Phone 5's construction is newer, but somewhat heavier and just a bit thicker than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. The Asus ROG Phone 5 has a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has a higher amount of RAM.
Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with just a bit better display than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a lot lower screen pixels density and a lot lower 1080 x 2448 pixels resolution, it also counts with a bigger screen. Galaxy S8 Active features a little bit better storage capacity for apps and games than Asus ROG Phone 5, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory slot that holds up to 256 GB.
Asus ROG Phone 5 has a really longer battery duration than Galaxy S8 Active, because it has a 6000mAh battery size. Asus ROG Phone 5 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting photos or videos in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a way larger back-facing camera sensor which offers a lot higher photo and video quality, a much higher video resolution and a way more megapixels back facing camera.
