Comparison review
Xperia 5 III is just a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 5, getting a global score of 90.5 against 84.7. Although Xperia 5 III and the Asus ROG Phone 5 were only released with a couple months difference, Xperia 5 III is a lot thinner and much lighter. The Xperia 5 III's processor is just as good as Asus ROG Phone 5's processing unit, they have 8 GB of RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit.
Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with a bit sharper display than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2448 and a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a little larger display. Asus ROG Phone 5 takes better photos and videos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for capturing images or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have a same size back-facing camera sensor, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also counts with a back camera with a lot higher resolution and a lot higher 7680x4320 video quality.
Xperia 5 III counts with a superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus ROG Phone 5, because it has 128 GB more internal storage and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1 TB. Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with improved battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 5 III, because it has a 33 percent larger battery size.
