Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 5 is a little bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Premium, getting an 84.7 score against 82.2. The Asus ROG Phone 5 is a notably newer and thinner cellphone than the Xperia XZ2 Premium, but it's also a little heavier. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a sharper screen than Asus ROG Phone 5, because although it has way less brightness and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much better 2160 x 3840 pixels resolution and a much greater display pixels density.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Asus ROG Phone 5, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's processor is just as good as Asus ROG Phone 5's processing unit, and although the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
Asus ROG Phone 5 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 69% bigger battery size. The Asus ROG Phone 5 shoots much better photographs and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has a way better video definition, a way larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a much higher resolution camera.
