The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a general score of 84.2, which is slightly better than the Motorola Moto G9 Plus's score of 80.5. Both phones in this comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a newer 14 version and Motorola Moto G9 Plus has Android 10 version, providing the user some additional features. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro design is noticeably newer and a bit thinner, but a bit heavier than the Motorola Moto G9 Plus.

The Moto G9 Plus features a very superior processor than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a slightly better camera than Moto G9 Plus, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs and/or video in low light situations and a much lower 50 megapixels resolution back camera, it also counts with a lot higher video definition and a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
