The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is a bit better than Galaxy A31, with a general score of 84.2 against 81.3. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro body is newer, but somewhat heavier and a bit thicker than the Galaxy A31. Both devices in this review use Android operating system, but Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a newer 14 version and Galaxy A31 has Android 10 version.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a much better display than Galaxy A31, because although it has a just a bit worse display density, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2400 resolution, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro also counts with a little bigger display. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a way bigger memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A31, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 448 GB more internal memory.
The Galaxy A31 features a much greater hardware performance than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has 12 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A31, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity against 5000mAh.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro takes better photographs and videos than Galaxy A31, because it has a more megapixels back facing camera, a lot higher 7680x4320 video quality, a bigger aperture to capture better low light photos and video and a much larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
