The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a general score of 84.2, which is just a bit better than Galaxy S7 edge's global score of 78.1. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has an older 14 version and Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Although the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is newer than the Galaxy S7 edge, it's much heavier and somewhat thicker.

Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a more vivid screen than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a lot lesser pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a larger screen. Galaxy S7 edge counts with a much better performing processing unit than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has an inferior number of cores and 12 GB lesser RAM.

Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a much better camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing images or video in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a much larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a lot better 7680x4320 video quality and a back-facing camera with a much better 50 mega-pixels resolution.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a way better battery duration than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity against 3600mAh.
