The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has an overall score of 84.2, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy XCover 5's global score of 78.1. Although Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is way heavier than Galaxy XCover 5, it's just a little bit thinner and incredibly newer. Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has newer 14 version and Galaxy XCover 5 has Android 11 version, so it provides the user some nice extra features and increased performance.
The Galaxy XCover 5 features a really superior processing power than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a much sharper screen than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a larger display, a way better 1080 x 2400 resolution and a just a bit more pixels per screen inch.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro takes way better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking images and videos in low-light situations, it also counts with a way better 7680x4320 video quality and a much more mega pixels camera in the back.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a superior memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 448 GB more internal storage capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a way better battery performance than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a 5500mAh battery size.
