Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 II has an overall score of 91, which is a little bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro's 84.2 global score. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia 1 II has the older 11 version and Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has Android 14 version. Sony Xperia 1 II's construction is somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, even though it was released many years before.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a bit sharper screen than Sony Xperia 1 II, because although it has way less pixels per screen inch and a way lower 1080 x 2400 resolution, it also counts with a bit bigger display. Xperia 1 II features a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits up to 1000 GB.
Sony Xperia 1 II has a much faster processor than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has less RAM, they both have 8 cores. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a really longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 1 II, because it has a 38% larger battery capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a greater camera than Xperia 1 II, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for capturing photos and/or video in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a way higher 7680x4320 video resolution, a back-facing camera with a lot higher 50 mega-pixels resolution and a bigger sensor capturing higher quality photographs and videos.
