Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, with an 84.2 score against 75.8. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro body is newer, but a bit thicker and somewhat heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has older 14 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a brighter screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a little worse screen pixels density, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a quite bigger display. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a very superior storage capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a much faster processor than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a superior battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro takes much better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a bigger camera aperture for better images and video in low light situations, a much higher video quality and a camera in the back with a way higher resolution.
