The Asus ROG Phone II has a global score of 88, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8's 81.7 global score. The Asus ROG Phone II is a much newer cellphone than the Samsung Galaxy S8, but it's thicker and notably heavier. The Asus ROG Phone II has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ROG Phone II also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Galaxy S8 counts with a bit sharper screen than Asus ROG Phone II, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2960 resolution and a better pixels density. Asus ROG Phone II takes way better pictures and videos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for shooting images and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Asus ROG Phone II also counts with a camera with a much better 48 megapixels resolution, faster video frame rates and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing lot higher quality videos and photographs.
Asus ROG Phone II features a much better memory for games and applications than Galaxy S8, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Asus ROG Phone II counts with a much longer battery performance than Galaxy S8, because it has a 100% bigger battery size.
