Asus ROG Phone is just a bit better than the OnePlus 8, having a 77.1 score against 76. Despite being the best phone in this comparison, we must tell that it's also an older, just a bit thicker and just a little bit heavier phone. The OnePlus 8 has a bit better looking display than Asus ROG Phone, because it has much more brightness, a little bit larger display, a little higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and a just a bit greater pixel density.
Asus ROG Phone features a little faster CPU than OnePlus 8. Both have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount. Asus ROG Phone has a very superior memory capacity to install games and applications than OnePlus 8, because it has 512 GB internal storage. The OnePlus 8 features a bit better battery duration than Asus ROG Phone, because it has a 4300mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
The OnePlus 8 features a very superior camera than Asus ROG Phone, and although they both have a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the same 60 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the OnePlus 8 also has a lot bigger back camera sensor which provides a way better image and video quality.
Although Asus ROG Phone is a better device, it costs a lot more than the OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the OnePlus 8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Asus ROG Phone, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the OnePlus 8, resigning a couple features and specifications.
