Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 5s has a score of 76.4, which is just a bit better than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra's overall score of 73.3. Both of these phones include the same Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, so you shouldn't see any differences in that aspect. The Xiaomi Mi 5s design is a lot lighter but somewhat thicker than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, and both of them were released with only a few months difference.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a little bit better performance than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, although it has 4 less cpu cores , they both have the same RAM amount. Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a much better display than Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra, because although it has a really smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 1920, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also counts with a better pixels density.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has a much longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 4600mAh battery capacity against 3200mAh.
